This question is for people who belive in God...?
and the devil. I believe in God. I'm a Christian. One of the most secretive figures in the history of the world is also one I find the most fascinating---sorta. And that being is ''death". What or who is Death? Is Death a real being, spirit, etc.,? Or is Death a concept---meaning just the idea of death and not a literal figure with a hood and scythe like he's always portrayed in movies? Society even has a name for him as the Grim Reaper. The bible says that Death will be thrown in the lake of fire and what I garner from that verse is you can't really throw an idea into the lake of fire. So if Death is a real figure the way Satan is a real figure, what was he before? The bible says that Satan was an angel named Lucifer before he went all rebel. So was Death an angel at one point as well or did God create this being out of thin air right around the time he created the world. Also, if someone skydives and hits the ground without benefit of parachute, is it really necessary to have some mythical figure standing over him, waving his magical wand making sure the guy croaks? I mean, won't the height he fell from and the speed with which he hit the ground all but ensure that the guy ate his last bowl of wheaties?
