Anyone had to deal with your parents' disapproval?

It might sound weird that I care so much about my parents' feelings but I do. I am 30 years old and have been with my boyfriend for 13 years. We want so badly to get married and have a child but financially we aren't the most stable. I am a substitute teacher and he is a welder so jobs are spotty at times. Both of us are so ready for a child (we're both the same age) and want to just do it but my parents HATE him with a pion, to the point of not being able to speak his name in their presence. Should I really care about what my parents think or my income situation or should I just do what my biological clock is telling me to do? My heart says yes but my head says no. I am so afraid of rejection, fertility, SO MANY THINGS run through my head. Any advice would be welcome, supportive or critical but please if you are just going to be a jerk, that's not welcome. Thanks!
