Does this pretty much sum up what the Democrats think about the troops?

John Murtha was the first Viet Nam veteran elected to the House of Representives. I'd do some checking to find out what the original purpose of that statement was. I'm a democrat and I support our troops. I didn't support this war when it started but I always supported our troops. I think the military is an honorable occupation.
